Cycling along the IJssel near Zwolle

The route starts at Hotel Mercure Zwolle. Start your tour on the terrace with a coffee and something tasty, while enjoying the panoramic view of the surrounding fields. You cross the IJssel, after which you drive into Hattem. A nice place to experience the atmosphere! In the picturesque old center you can see, among other things, the fourteenth-century Dijkpoort. From Hattem you drive into the polder. On the left you see the northern Veluwe edge, a beautiful view. In Zalk you pass De Valk, a corn mill from 1860. You also make a refreshing pit stop here on the cozy terrace of Restaurant De Oase. With a ferry you cross a sharp bend in the IJssel. A little further on you can get off at Restaurant and Farm Shop De Vreugdehoeve.
