Cycling along the IJssel near Zwolle

The route starts at Hotel Mercure Zwolle. Start your tour on the terrace with a coffee and something tasty, while enjoying the panoramic view of the surrounding fields. You cross the IJssel, after which you enter Hattem. A nice place to soak up the atmosphere! In the picturesque old center you can see, among other things, the fourteenth-century Dijkpoort. From Hattem you drive into the polder. On the left you see the northern Veluwe edge, a beautiful view. In Zalk you will pass De Valk, a flour mill from 1860. You will also make a refreshing pit stop on the cozy terrace of Restaurant De Oase. You can cross a sharp bend in the IJssel by ferry. A little further on you can get off at Restaurant and Farm Shop De Vreugdehoeve.
