This cycle route is one of the 15 cycle routes that crosses 11 Peel municipalities.
Each route takes you past historic places and life-changing events of soldiers, residents, refugees and occupiers from WWII.
Signs have been placed at the many historical locations along the route on which you can briefly read the events that took place at that place.
The term Death Valley De Peel recalls the fierce air and ground war in De Peel between 1940-1945.
It is also the name of a large-scale project with which De Peel celebrates/has celebrated "75 years of freedom" in 2019-2020.
