Description

From here you can walk straight into the Ulvenhoutse Bos, the oldest parts of which were laid out more than a thousand years ago and are known for beautiful plants such as the slender primrose and wood anemone. The 112 hectare old sessile oak-beech forest has been designated as a Natura 2000 area. Via the edge of Ulvenhout you walk to another nature reserve, on the other side of the village: the Markdal. The Mark has been meandering here again since 2004. It is an ideal walking area, you can walk past reed collars and flower-rich meager grasslands while looking out over the rippling water. All too soon you see the Ulvenhout church tower rising above the treetops on the horizon.
