Description

From here you can walk straight into the Ulvenhoutse Bos, the oldest parts of which were planted more than a thousand years ago, and are known for their beautiful plants such as the slender primrose and wood anemone. The old winter oak-beech forest of 112 hectares has been designated as a Natura 2000 area. Via the edge of Ulvenhout you can walk to another nature reserve, on the other side of the village: the Markdal. Since 2004 the Mark has meandered here again. It is an ideal walking area, you can walk along beautiful reed beds and flowery poor grasslands while looking out over the rippling water. All too soon you can see the church tower of Ulvenhout on the horizon above the treetops again.
