Walking tour of Ulvenhout and Mark

From here you can walk straight into the Ulvenhoutse Bos, the oldest parts of which were laid out more than a thousand years ago and are known for beautiful plants such as the slender primrose and wood anemone. The 112 hectare old sessile oak-beech forest has been designated as a Natura 2000 area. Via the edge of Ulvenhout you walk to another nature reserve, on the other side of the village: the Markdal. The Mark has been meandering here again since 2004. It is an ideal walking area, you can walk past reed collars and flowery meadows while looking out over the rippling water. All too soon you see the Ulvenhout church tower rising above the treetops on the horizon.
