E-bike route Heart of Drenthe

Cycle through the Heart of Drenthe: you will find 5,000 hectares of contiguous nature reserves here! Outside the forests you will visit characteristic villages, such as Borger and Westerbork. In Boswachterij Hooghalen you will pass the Camp Westerbork Remembrance Center. It is worthwhile to visit this impressive place, be sure to allow time for it. There are two lookout towers on your route to view the surroundings from above: at junction 58 and at junction 6. There are numerous historic buildings to admire in the various villages you cycle through. On the Hoofdstraat in Zwiggelte you will see a few beautiful eighteenth-century farms and in the green village of Westerbork there is the fifteenth-century Stephen's Church.
