The Cartier Heath is home to special reptiles such as the viviparous lizard and the smooth snake. The Dalems Stream flows over the heath and there are many moist areas. The deeper you penetrate into the heart of De Kempen, the more wild the area looks. In the picturesque village of Hapert you can view De Hapertse mill. It is a round ground sailor that was built in 1898. This flour mill changed hands for the first time four years later. The mill runs on a voluntary basis and can be visited every first and third Saturday of the month. You cycle back via the Peelsche and Kroonvensche Heide.
