Two-border route near Losser

You'll depart from Bed and Breakfast Het Haerman. This route takes you through the border region near Losser and past Oldenzaal. Oldenzaal is graced by a park-like landscape where hills add an extra dimension. The Tankenberg is part of the Oldenzaal moraine and lies 85 meters above sea level: the highest point in the province of Overijssel. You can cycle across the border here in no time – as people did centuries ago. The Todden, or "hannekemaaiers" (mowers) or "kiepenkearls" (sweepers), used to trade along the Handelweg between Bad Bentheim, Germany, Losser, and Oldenzaal. Carrying heavy baskets, they walked hundreds of kilometers along the Handelweg, seeking earnings. Near TOP Driland, you can swim, or rent a rowboat and explore the nearby lake with its sandy beach!
