Tour of heathland and forest between Hattem and Epe

In the IJsselvallei you will be amazed: how beautifully rural it is here! You should definitely get off in Hattem to discover the nice Hanseatic town with its beautiful old center. Stop immediately for a cup of coffee at Plaza De Haven. Then you cycle past the Hattem-Molecaten watermill, one of the first paper mills in the Veluwe. The mill is located on an estate that belongs to Huis Molecaten, built in 1646. In 1824, Huis Molecaten was renovated in the neo-classical style. You cycle past the Petrea Estate to the Oldebroekse Heide. There is also plenty to see here: large and smaller sand drifts, heathlands, bushes and bushes. On the way to the picturesque village of Epe you will come across more tufts of heather here and there.
