The Jeker is a small river that flows via Tongeren in Belgium to Maastricht and then flows into the Maas. Over the centuries, the Jeker has carved out a rolling valley in which there are pleasant villages with old churches. Past Tongeren you cycle back to the Netherlands through the Flemish Haspengouw. Relax on the terrace of Heerlijkheid Breust in Eijsden for a fresh beer and a delicious meal. You can also stay in the associated B&B. There are two beautiful Limburg castles on your route. Eijsden Castle has medieval origins, the current pleasure garden dates from 1636. Genoelselderen Wine Castle is the only wine castle in Belgium.
