Description

Once you get on your bike, you ride via Crayenstein Castle in Burgh-Haamstede to Haamstede Castle. The history of the beautiful castle dates back to the thirteenth century, the current fortress was built in the sixteenth century. It is owned by Natuurmonumenten. Slot Moermond is located on the 45-hectare estate of the same name, a protected nature reserve. The castle dates from the thirteenth century. In 1953 the castle was seriously damaged by the flood disaster. The last sight is 't Huys Grol. Grol means green and that is exactly what you see here. Its history dates back to 1599. It is one of the few privately inhabited country estates in this area. Take a break at De Zeeuwse Stromen before returning to your starting point!
