Description
Get a breath of fresh air along the Oosterschelde and the Veerse Meer, with this cycling tour along the coast around Goes and Wolphaartsdijk. A little further away from the coast you cycle through a vast landscape full of agricultural areas and fruit orchards, where it is wonderfully quiet.
Zeeland mill splendour
On the way to Wolphaartsdijk you pass the windmill Nooit Gedacht. This flour mill was built in 1872 and was used until the early 1970s. The corn mill has been restored, but is no longer suitable for grinding. Further on you can admire Molen De Hoop. This corn mill is located on a dike in Wolphaartsdijk and it is still used to grind grain.
Nature shoe in the Poelbos
From Goes you continue cycling via Wolphaartsdijk. Along the way you will pass the Poelbos, a beautiful forest area of about 60 hectares. You end your trip back at Camping de Veerhoeve.
