Enjoying Wenduinen through nature

A nice stop during your bike ride is the Heemkundig museum Turkeyenhof. In these old hooves you imagine yourself back in time. The old Bredene and its surroundings almost come to life here. All kinds of Gallo-Roman finds and old utensils are exhibited and there is a very extensive collection of North Sea shells, which is the pride of the coastal town. You will find many beautiful houses along the coast in that real seaside resort architecture, but De Haan is a real gem. Here you will almost only find villas from the'Belle Epoque\\\'. At the end of the 19th century, a beautiful villa park was built here - with care, because the plan of the city planner had to preserve the dunes. We are still reaping the benefits of that. Where you encounter a proliferation of concrete in many places along the Belgian coast, De Haan has remained a beautiful old-fashioned coastal town. So really get off!
