The charm of cycling in this Vechtdal landscape is the small-scale landscape: farmyard, waving reed plumes, vista, bush, around the bend, farmyard, hedge, vista... You cycle through the vast land of farms, hedgerows and hedges to the Historical Cultural Information Center The Vechtdal. The Vecht comes into view in Hardenberg. A sign points to the fish ladder nearby, which allows fish to swim up and down the river despite the large weir that was built here 100 years ago.
