The Achterhoek is an ideal region for a nice bike ride. Here you drive through the Winterswijk National Landscape with its ash trees, small-scale forests, hedgerows and stream valleys. From the saddle you can enjoy this beautiful region at your leisure. In addition to natural beauty, there is also plenty of cultural history to discover. Just before junction 21 you will see an ancient watermill on the Boven-Slinge on the left of the road. Further along the same stream is the Berenschots Mill from 1652. In Tussender you pass the Vier Winden, a flour mill from 1958. You drive along the edge of the Korenburgerveen, in Winterswijk you pass the Freedom Park. Here lies a boulder from the Ice Age, it is the second largest found in the Netherlands. The route ends with a terrace at LEV. by Mike.
