A unique varied cycling tour through a peat area, camp landscape, forests, ancient hamlets and the basin of the Overijsselse Vecht. The cycle route starts at the Tourist Info in Vroomshoop. On the west side of Vroomshoop, the route runs through the small-scale Zandstuvebos. The alternation of openness and closedness makes the Zandstuve an ideal forest for birds of prey such as buzzards, hawks, sparrow hawks and owls, deer, polecat, ermine and stone marten also live in this area. Via the Brinkdorp Den Ham and the beautiful nature reserve"Eerder Achterbroek\\\" the route leads through the Earlierveld along the large sand drifts (popularly called"Sahara\\\") towards Junne and Stegeren, 2 very old hamlets near the Vecht. We cross the Vecht for the 2nd time at Diffelen and return along the Almelode Haandrik canal to Vroomshoop. The village of Vroomshoop was founded in connection with the painting process and therefore has a peat-colonial character. After the peat, the land was used for agriculture. Groningen farmers have made an important contribution to this. Several Groningen farms can still be found on the Tonnendijk. Nice drop-offs along the way: -De Lindetuinen Farm and picking garden, Lindrot 2 in Den Ham -Ice farm"De Meulenhorst\\\", Achterbroekweg 1 in Ommen -Kalkwijck Distillers, Tonnendijk 176 in Vroomshoop -Landwinkel/asparagus farm Eggens, Tonnendijk 103 in Vroomshoop - Agricultural Museum"Dalvoorderslag\\\", Tonnendijk 106 in Vroomshoop
