Through the center of The Hague

Your route starts at BINKBIKES, where you can immediately rent a bicycle. Even though The Hague is not the capital of the Netherlands, the city largely fulfills that role. Most embassies and ministries are located here and The Hague is also known as a center for international justice and peace policy. Scheveningen is a popular seaside resort, just outside the hustle and bustle you will find the Meijendel nature reserve. In the past, many hawthorns grew in the area, from which the area takes its name. Many trees grow in the sheltered inner dunes, and closer to the sea you will find bare sandy areas with marram grass. Most of the ponds in the area are infiltration ponds, but natural dune pans can also be seen. The lake bat now lives in the bunkers from the Second World War.
