Tour Grebbelinie and Castle Renswoude

Your cycle route starts at Farm De Omrand with its nice local shop. From here you will discover the Grebbelinie, the pre-defense of the Dutch Waterline. Worth a bike ride! You follow part of the Grebbelinie through the Gelderse Vallei along the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The Grebbe line was last used in 1939 against the Germans. Get off at the coach house on the historic Landgoed Stoutenburg to learn more about the beautiful rugged Bloomdaal nature reserve. You also cycle along Gran Canal Renswoude Castle. What makes this castle special is its rich history and its unique and accessible location. The castle is surrounded by a beautifully varied park forest with a great cultural-historical and natural wealth. The forest is full of deer and birds.
