Cycling between Eerde and Egede

You start this varied route at Kasteel Eerde. In the late Middle Ages, there was a real castle here, the current building dates from 1715. You cycle through the forests of the estate to the outskirts of Den Ham. Just past junction 5, you will see a large boulder. This is a memorial for the pilot of a Lancaster who crashed here in 1943. Just before junction 85, the manor house Egede was once located. Of this country estate, only the farmhouse from 1780 has been preserved, it is located to the right of the road, just past the IJ junction. Then you cycle through the Regge valley, a wonderful piece of natural beauty where you can relax for a while. After a drink on the terrace at Camping & Boscafe De Lemeler Esch, you cycle back to Kasteel Eerde.
