Tour of the Veluwe from Renkum

From Renkum you set off to the rolling heathlands of Planken Wambuis. Two-thirds of the area consists of forest, but you also see heathland. You meander through the greenery and encounter few buildings along the way. A real day out in nature! Further on you take a short trip to the Gelderse Vallei. You drive through the Lunterse Buurtbos to the Doesburgerbuurt. Here you will see old farms and the Doesburger Mill, a flour mill from 1620. This is one of the oldest mills in the Netherlands. Further on you will pass the Kernhem Estate, another historic spot. Stop here for a snack or a drink at Pannenkoekenboerderij Kernhem. On the edge of Bennekom you cycle past Hoekelum Castle, a beautiful spot with stately avenues!
