The route starts at the Venbergse Molen. This water mill is located on the Dommel and has a history that goes back to the thirteenth century. You then cycle through a number of contiguous nature reserves: the Leenderbos, Landgoed Valkenhorst and the Groote Heide. You drive here through fragrant coniferous forests and through dry and wet heaths. You drive to Waalre through the woods around Aalst. On the Markt you can see some beautiful nineteenth-century buildings. You can also get off here for a tasty meal at Brasserie Meester Keeman. Just outside the village you cross the Dommel, you will see the Volmolen here. Further on is the Stevertse Molen, which dates from 1400. At't Hof in Bergeijk you can take a look at the fifteenth-century Sint-Petrus\\\' Bandenkerk. The tower fell over in 1650 and was never rebuilt.
