Avifauna - Keukenhof Route

One of my favorite routes is the Keukenhof route. A route that I have already driven several times. You start at Avifauna and cycle through the typical polder landscape of the Groene Hart towards the colorful Bulb Region. A visit to the Keukenhof is actually a must. Via Nieuw-Vennep you cycle along a water-rich area with the Westeinderplassen and Braassem back to Avifauna. There are several nice sights to see along the route, such as the statue of Joop Zoetemelk in Rijpwetering for the real cycling enthusiast. But also, with a bit of luck, one of the super yachts at the Van Lent shipyard on Kaageiland. And of course the Aspergehof Noordam just before Woubrugge and the country shop afterwards. There is also no shortage of nice terraces at the Buitenkaag, Lisse or at the Leimuiden bridge.
