The Jagershuis estate

Wehl has a beautiful forest, with a fascinating history. Did you know that until about 1925 there was a train stop that allowed travelers to visit the estate? This stop was called Stilliwald, after the mansion. You will come across this stop along the way, with an explanation. There is also a mysterious gallows hump and there is the cemetery of Jonkheer Nispen, who died in 1872. You will have to look for the tombstone and gallows hump, but you can visit the manor and the Jagershuis that Nispen owned from 1830. to admire. This now includes a campsite.
