Description
From the starting point you first drive a bit through Nijverdal. Then you enter the forest via the Goudzoekerspad. The name of this trail refers to the gold rush that broke out here in 1901. Gold mining in the Nijverdalse Berg soon turned out to be unprofitable and the investors gave up. You drive north along the foot of the Hellendoornse Berg into the agricultural area around Lemele. At Camping & Boscafe De Lemeler Esch you can enjoy a coffee with homemade goodies or a lunch. The second part of the route takes you along the Regge. In this river valley it is wonderful to cycle along the rippling water, grasslands and ancient oaks. Grab a bench and enjoy the silence on the shore before driving back to the parking lot.
