Description
From the starting point you first drive a bit through Nijverdal. You then enter the forest via the Goudzoekerspad. The name of this path refers to the gold rush that broke out here in 1901. Gold mining in the Nijverdalse Berg soon turned out to be unprofitable and investors gave up. You drive north along the foot of the Hellendoornse Berg into the agricultural area around Lemele. At Camping & Boscafe De Lemeler Esch you can enjoy a coffee with homemade treats or a lunch. The second part of the route takes you along the Regge. In this river valley it is wonderful to cycle along the rippling water, grasslands and centuries-old oak trees. Grab a bench and enjoy the silence on the shore before driving back to the parking lot.
