Cycling through the Veluwe

The starting point of this route is the Sculpture Garden/Sand Sculptures in Garderen. Garderen is located on the west flank of the Veluwe in a green area. A wonderful area for cycling! During your cycle route you cycle through the Speulder and Sprielderbos. There are also many burial mounds in this area. From these cemeteries and various archaeological finds. The route not only takes you through the forests but also over the Ermelosche (Ermelose) Heide. Your cycle tour also takes you past ancient burial mounds. Centuries ago, people buried some of the dead in or under burial mounds, which are protected by the Monuments Act. The route takes you further to the Schaapskooi, where the largest flock of sheep in the Netherlands is housed. Stop in between at Bospark de Wervelwind and enjoy a well-deserved break here.
