The surroundings of Bocholt and Bree are mainly dominated by lush forests. This route takes you through these beautiful nature reserves in the Limburg Kempen. You will also get to know cozy Belgian towns during this cycling tour.
Explore Limburg villages
The starting point of this route is in the middle of the nature of the Kempen. From here you cycle through the village of Reppel in the direction of Beek en Bree. In the vicinity of Reppel you will find several ancient farms. You can also take a look at the church and the two windmills in the village. Both mills are water mills on the edge of the Abeek. You then continue cycling to Neerglabbeek. The surroundings of this village are dominated by coniferous and deciduous forests. You will also find maidenhair, various grasses and heather bushes that do well on the sandy soils of the Limburg Kempen. From Neerglabbeek you continue to Wijshagen and then you set course for Ellikom.
