The area around Bocholt and Bree is mainly dominated by lush forests. This route takes you through these beautiful nature reserves in the Limburg Kempen. You will also get to know charming Belgian towns during this bike tour.
Explore Limburg villages
The starting point of this route is located in the middle of the nature of the Kempen. From here you cycle through the village of Reppel in the direction of Beek en Bree. In the area around Reppel you will find several centuries-old farms. You can also take a look at the church and the two mills in the village. Both mills are water mills on the edge of the Abeek. Then you cycle further to Neerglabbeek. The area surrounding this village is dominated by coniferous and deciduous forests. You will also find maidenhair moss, various types of grass and heather shrubs that do well on the sandy soils of the Limburg Kempen. From Neerglabbeek you cycle further to Wijshagen and then set course for Ellikom.
