Get to know the close-knit hamlets of Boekel and the surrounding area during this cycle route. De Peel used to be a wild place. Settlements sprang up on the edges of the Peel. No villages, but collections of farms without an official center such as a church or a square. But big enough to have its own name and be mentioned on a map. Get to know some hamlets and the natural beauty that De Peel has to offer during this cycling tour. Places of interest during the cycle route: - The hamlets You cycle through various hamlets such as the Zandhoek, Burgt, Neerbroek or the Elzen. There is a chapel from 1695 in the hamlet of Esdonk. You will also pass through the hamlet and nature reserve of Kooldert. The effects of the peel edge fracture are visible on the surface, resulting in very wet and very dry soils. - Get acquainted with the agricultural hospitality and activity Co-initiators of the cycle routes are agricultural entrepreneurs. They would like to introduce you to their company. That is why gazebos with a picnic bench have been placed at various places along the route. You can use it for free to relax. In the gazebos you can watch a film to learn more about the activities of the agricultural company. The gazebos are open daily from Easter Monday to November 1. - De Perekker The start and end point of the route is nature park De Perekker.
