Description

You can cycle wonderfully around the Chaam forests. The first sight on your route is the Anneville Estate, which was founded in 1844. The coach house has been used as a residence, hotel-restaurant, tea room and bakery over the years. It was also the temporary residence of Queen Wilhelmina. Here she received the news of the capitulation of the Germans in the Netherlands. You cycle through the fields to the village of Dorst. Via the winding paths through the Prinsenbos and the Chaamse Bossen you arrive in the centre of Alphen. Here you can visit the Alphen Regional Museum, which is housed in a former Protestant church from 1820. Finally, you cycle through the charming village of Chaam. The route ends at Huis ten Bosch Family Restaurant. Time for a tasty treat!
