Description

You can enjoy cycling around the Chaam forests. The first attraction on your route is the Anneville Estate, which was founded in 1844. The coach house has been used as a residence, hotel-restaurant, tearoom and bakery over the years. It was also the temporary residence of Queen Wilhelmina. Here she received the news about the capitulation of the Germans in the Netherlands. You cycle further through the fields to the village of Dorst. Via the winding paths through the Prinsenbos and the Chaamse Bossen you reach the center of Alphen. Here you can visit the Alphen Regional Museum, which is located in a former Protestant church from 1820. Finally, you drive through the charming village of Chaam. The route ends at Huis ten Bosch Family Restaurant. Time for something tasty!
