With this route you cross De Maasduinen National Park. And discover how vast this nature reserve is! The river dunes are largely covered with forest. Cycling past Scots pine or larch trees, you can enjoy the fresh air and the peace and quiet. But there is more to experience. At junction 86, for example, you pass the monumental Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. There are also some moist heathland areas along the cycle path, such as the Bergerheide. Just before junction 29 you pass the Reindersmeer, a sand quarry where the water is strikingly blue. You drive through the woods of De Hamert to Wellerlooi. Just outside the village you can climb a lookout tower for a special panorama of the area. You can grab a bench at the Maas before cycling back to Eetcafé Jaykes.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
