Tour of the Maasduinen from Afferden

Put on your sturdy shoes for a long walk through the Maasduinen National Park. In this unique nature reserve you will find plenty of peace and quiet, ideal if you want to unwind for a day. You will soon walk onto the Maasduinen. The river dunes are almost all covered with forest: the only way to protect the fields and pastures from the blowing sand! In this national park you will walk through a series of overgrown forests, patches of heathland and fields. You will also pass several tranquil fens, such as the Zevemboomsven. In the middle of the Afferdense Dunes you will pass a twelve-metre-high lookout tower. From the top you have a beautiful view.
