Cycling through Leiden and estates

Between Wassenaar, Leiden and Zoetermeer you will experience plenty of culture and nature. First you cycle along Vogelplas Starrevaart. Just past junction 84, as soon as you leave the forest, you will see the skyline of The Hague in the distance. Then there are several wooded estates along the path, such as Backershagen and De Paauw. In Voorschoten you cycle through the historic heart that enjoys a protected village view. There are also beautiful old buildings on the edge of the village, such as a white-plastered former silver factory and Buitenplaats Bernice. In the heart of Leiden you can get off for a drink at Catwalk Koffie & Lunch, after which you pass the Burcht van Leiden and the Hooglandse Kerk. You also cycle through Polderpark Cronesteyn, a varied city park. Through the varied nature near Zoetermeer you cycle to the starting point.
