Cycling through Leiden and estates

You will experience plenty of culture and nature between Wassenaar, Leiden and Zoetermeer. First you drive past Vogelplas Starrevaart. Just past junction 84, as soon as you come out of the forest, you can see the skyline of The Hague in the distance. Then there are some wooded estates along the path, such as Backershagen and De Paauw. In Voorschoten you cycle through the historic heart that enjoys a protected village view. There are also beautiful old buildings on the edge of the village, such as a white-plastered former silver factory and Bernice Country Estate. In the heart of Leiden you can stop for a drink at Catwalk Koffie & Lunch, after which you will pass the Leiden Castle and the Hooglandse Church. You also cycle through Polderpark Cronesteyn, a varied city park. You drive to the starting point through the varied nature near Zoetermeer.
