Cycling around Mol and Balen

From here you cycle south towards the Buitengoor, a low peat swamp of modest size but with great value. The flora and fauna in the area is beautiful: dragonflies and butterflies flutter around the fens and that gives a mystical atmosphere. You will also pass the Zilvermeer recreational area. The necessary sand extraction for the glass industry that once flourished here created several large lakes.
