Smuggling route: Hoogstraten, Baarle Naussau and Baarle Hertog

Your route starts at Natuurkampeerterrein't Beekdal. You drive to Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog, where 30 parts of Belgium and the Netherlands are intertwined into an enclave. Make a pit stop at Brasserie Aai & Vlaai, further on you will come to a reconstruction of a WWI switch house. The Netherlands was neutral at the time. The'Death Wire\\\', an electric barrier, closed the national border. A little later you cycle through one of the two Belgian Colonies of Benevolence: Wortel. The cultural landscape of forests, meadows and avenues is a UNESCO heritage. In Hoogstraten you pass the St. Catherine's Church, which is built of red Kempen brick.
