This route takes you through the Alblasserwaard and along the river Merwede. A bike ride full of natural beauty and sights in old towns.
Gorinchem
A little later you will see the Peilmolen appear on the horizon from afar. This ground sailor from 1818 used signals to transmit the water level to the surrounding polder mills. You will pass through the Alblasserbos, a rarity in this vast region. Along the banks of the Merwede you will head for Sliedrecht, and you will also drive through the historic city centre of Gorinchem.

Be amazed by the vast, flat landscape of the Alblasserwaard. You look hundreds of meters far across fields. Beautiful houses stand on large pieces of land, while the plots of the various parcels are demarcated and intersected by straight dug ditches.
