It is beautiful to cycle through the hills around Sittard. You will find plenty of natural beauty and sights from Limburg's rich cultural history.
Schinveldse Bossen
At Buitenplaats De Vief Heringe you can enjoy a terrace in a unique ambiance before driving through beautiful Sittard. Here you will pass, among other things, the Stadbroekermolen, a water mill that originally dates from 1582. You cross the border with Germany, after which you drive through the deciduous forest of the Tüdderner Fenn. In the hills you will pass through some charming German and Dutch villages. In the Schinveldse Bossen you can enjoy the peace and nature.
Amsterdam
On the edge of Brunssum you drive through the Schutterspark, which was designed between 1920 and 1940. The park is partly located on the slope of a hill and partly in the valley of the Roode Beek. A little later you drive over the rolling Brunssummerheide. Step off for a moment to enjoy the view and the silence. The area around Amstenrade Castle is a nationally protected sight due to its historic appearance and old buildings. What a cultural history!
