Description
From Tiel you cycle through the Betuwe. Enjoy the peace and the characteristic landscape of dikes and orchards. In the floodplains you see flowery grasslands and hayfields, poplar forests and willow groves. In the middle of the Betuwe you come through Buren. Get off and enjoy the nice atmosphere in this old town. The route also leads through the historic heart of Culemborg. Here you can see many centuries-old buildings, such as the beautiful fourteenth-century Lanxmeerpoort and the Town Hall from 1539. Wijk bij Duurstede is a beautiful old town. Nearby you can take a break at Ferry Good Food and Drinks, beautifully situated on the water. You cycle back through the charming Zoelen with the castle of the same name - be sure to get off here for the beautiful gardens!
