Tour through the bulbs near Egmond

Your cycling route starts at Bike Shop Egmond. From here you can take a nice tour through the bulb fields. Southeast of Egmond aan Zee you will find the De Bleek dune area. The area is at least 1,000 years old and you can see exactly how the coastal dunes in North Kennemerland have developed. For example, a system of dikes has been constructed to protect the low parts between the beach walls against flooding. From the top of the dune you have a beautiful view. On the rest of the route you will feel like you are in the Middle Ages. You cycle past historic places and mysterious chapels. The Egmond Abbey Museum is located just outside the village of Egmond-Binnen. Various exhibitions are held here, all related to the history of Egmond Abbey.
