In the heart of Friesland lies an extensive low moor swamp: De Alde Feanen. Due to the many waterways, you can only discover the edges of the National Park by bike - also very nice - but thanks to this ferry route you can still get on the water here and there to see the area from its most beautiful side. see. During the short cruises, keep an eye out for the many birds that you see, because there are up to 100 species here. The Alde Feanen is one of the most important wetland bird areas in the Netherlands. This enormous wealth of animals is due to the enormously varied landscape. Start and end point is Hotel Restaurant Princenhof, on the edge of the village of Earnewâld, on the edge of the National Park. The beautiful terrace on the water is a wonderful place to have a drink - order real Fryske tapas with it!
