Tour of the Ommen Forestry and Lemelerveld

Your route starts at Bergzicht Camping and Chalet Park. The valley through which the winding Vecht winds its way is a beautiful landscape in which picturesque villages, extensive estates, dense forests and vast heathlands stretch out. The old Hanseatic city of Ommen is located in this beautiful nature, where a German trade association used to trade in beer, cheese, sausage, wood and other goods. In Ommen there is also a beautiful, thatched, octagonal tower mill from 1818, Den Oordt. You can see it looming on the horizon from afar. Het Laer used to be a castle; the surrounding canals and the wooded area in which the castle came into its own are still visible. After a number of sieges, renovations and acquisitions, it has been beautifully restored. Stop off at Hotel-Café-Restaurant-Snackbar Beerzeveld along the way!
