Tour of Biesbosch and Gorinchem

This cycling route starts at Camping De La Rue Koffie & Zo in Sleeuwijk. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee before cycling to De Biesbosch National Park. River islands in a water-rich area are characteristic of this area. Rugged paths, winding creeks, green forests, and mysterious waters give the area a centuries-old feel. Ducks, grebes, and coots nest along the banks, while herons fish here. The otter population is growing, and beavers work tirelessly on their nests and dams. Besides nature, this cycling route also lets you enjoy the beautiful city of Gorinchem. Here, the 16th-century city walls are well preserved. The Dalempoort gate dates from 1597. Along the route, you'll also enjoy beautiful views of the Waal River, where you'll see many boats.
