Description
Make sure your calves are lubricated because the Vijlenerbos has to offer you extensive slopes and height differences of up to 100 meters around the three-country point. In the beech forests you will find elderberry, medlar and gooseberry. On the steep slopes you can smell the wild onion and you will also find primrose and cranberry.
Babbling brooks
You can also encounter beech martens, badgers, ermines, polecats and weasels that hunt for small prey in this area. Then you just have to take it very slowly while cycling. The pin-footed salamander forages along babbling streams among the male orchid, black-blue rapunzel and blue monkshood.

Schoutenhof estate
From Schoutenhof Estate you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding forests. Then you cycle further to Vaelsbroek Castle. This white mansion dates from 1761. Next to this castle you will find a beautiful watermill that was previously used as a spinning and corn mill. Nowadays the mill no longer has a function.
