Cycling along the Ronde Venen and the Utrechtse Vecht

From Kockengen you cycle to the Ronde Venen. Get a breath of fresh air while looking out over the vast polders. Thanks to the many old cross-house farms, Demmerik still looks like an old peat village. The contrast could hardly be greater when you later drive across the Baambrugse Zuwe, the former reclamation axis that runs straight through the Vinkeveense Plassen. Thanks to the marinas and villas, this road is nicknamed the Millionaire Mile. Further on you drive through Loenersloot. You will find a nice historic atmosphere around the thirteenth-century castle. You will also see many stately buildings on the banks of the winding Utrechtse Vecht. You drive back to Kockengen through the cope landscape with its characteristic narrow plots.
