Riders
Beautiful cycling and riding paths have been laid out on the Ginkelse Heide - so you will regularly encounter a rider on horseback on your steel steed. The Scots pines you see are more than a hundred years old. The forests, heathlands, streams and watercourses and drifting sand areas provide a home for many special plants and animals. But you will also come across various cultural-historical monuments such as castles, estates and stately buildings, beautifully situated in this rolling region.

Sheepfold
As you cross the Ginkelse Heide you pass the sheepfold, whose sheep, as natural grazers, play a daily role in the maintenance of the nature reserve.
