The first kilometers you will spend some time in the Wolfhezer Forests, one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands. Then you cycle through the Bennekomse Bossen. Here too it is easy to travel for miles in the greenery. In Wageningen you cycle past De Vlijt, a flour mill from 1879. Along the edge of the forest you descend the Wageningse Berg, on the right you have a beautiful view over the polders along the Lower Rhine. You pass through picturesque Renkum, after which you drive along the floodplains to the woods on the Duno Estate. M35: Huneschans is also located here. This is the remains of a medieval ring rampart that offered the local population protection against raiding Vikings. After disembarking you can learn more about the Battle of Arnhem at Airborne Museum Hartenstein.
