A visit to Gorinchem

First you drive over the dike along the Linge. On the right you have a few views over the rippling water, on the left you see some beautiful farms dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The church in Spijk dates from the fifteenth century. From junction 55 you drive along the Leerbroekse Vliet through the polders of the Vijfheerenlanden. You make a shortcut to the Merwedekanaal, after which you cycle via Meerkerk to the picturesque Noordeloos. Further on you pass some old mills, then it is time for a visit to the well-preserved fortified town of Gorinchem. Here you see the Grote Kerk and the beautiful Lingehaven. Finally you pass Fort Vuren.
