A visit to Gorinchem

Uitspanning Mini Camping De Leuve Hoeve is the starting point for this beautiful route through Gorinchem and the surrounding area. First you drive over the dike along the Linge. On the right you have a few views over the rippling water, on the left you see some beautiful farmhouses dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The church in Spijk dates from the fifteenth century. From junction 55 you drive along the Leerbroekse Vliet through the polders of the Vijfheerenlanden. You make a shortcut to the Merwede Canal, after which you cycle via Meerkerk to the picturesque Noordeloos. Further on you pass some old mills, then it is time for a visit to the well-preserved fortified town of Gorinchem. Here you can see the Grote Kerk and the beautiful Lingehaven. Finally, you will pass Fort Vuren.
