Tour of heathland and forest near Hilversum and Laren

Your route starts at Q-Bike in Laren. This old green or ash village originated around 2500 BC. It was always a village of farmers and weavers, but after the arrival of the tram line to Amsterdam and Hilversum in 1892 it became a commuter village. You cycle from Laren over the Westerheide. Spread over the Zuiderheide and Westerheide you will find 4000 year old burial mounds known as'De Zeven Bergjes\\\'. You also drive through media city Hilversum. The Spanderwoud was originally a production forest of deciduous and coniferous trees. Now you can enjoy cycling under the rustling green of the branches. Your ride also leads you over the Zuiderheide. In the southern part there are still moors that were used to wash the sheep herds.
