With this route you will discover the versatility of nature between Delft and Zoetermeer. First you cycle through the Nieuwe Driemanspolder. This polder collects excess water from the surrounding area during heavy rainfall. This nature reserve opened in 2020, so nature is still developing. Then you cycle through the pristine Buyten Park with its ditches, reed collars and vast fields. In the Westerpark you will see numerous native trees and shrubs, after which you drive through the Balijbos. Further on you drive through the next nature reserve: the Bieslandse Bos. Here you will find a mix of forest, swamp, bushes and open polder. Via the Delftse Hout city park and the Dobbeplas you drive back to the starting point: De Balije Tuin. Time for a terrace!
