Your route starts at Camping de Wildhoeve, where you can first have a cup of coffee at the associated Brasserie de Houtvesterij. Between Epe and Heerde there are occasional climbs and descents, you drive over a moraine here. You cycle a wonderful stretch over the dike along the winding IJssel. When you leave the banks of the river behind you, you cross through the fields and fields, via Oene, to Epe. Near junction 64 is De Kopermolen Water Mill, which has been using the water of the Klaarbeek since the 18th century. From 1706 the mill served as a paper mill and from 1745 as a copper mill. Grain was milled there from 1891. The mill has been restored, but is out of operation.
