Moerdijk, Lage Zwaluwe and Zevenbergschen Hoek

This route takes you through the Zevenbergen area. The Brabant country is dominated here by streams and extensive marine clay polders. First you drive along the leafy banks of the Roode Vaart. This canal was dug in the sixteenth century as a connection to the Hollands Diep. Further on you cycle a bit along the dike on the Hollands Diep. In some places you can walk up the dike to look out over the water. You make a stop in the lunchroom of Poort naar de Biesbosch, after which you cycle through Lage Zwaluwe. This so-called street village is home to many beautiful monumental buildings. From junction 54 you cycle along the Mark, a little later you drive over the beautiful winding Haagse Dijk. The route ends at Hotel & Restaurant de Borgh.
