Tour of Breda, Mastbos and Boswachterij Dorst

You soon drive into the vast Dorst Forestry. It consists mainly of Scots pine trees that were planted in the early 19th century. In the mid-19th century, many trees were felled, which created many sand drifts. Via the Ulvenhout forest you cycle through the Markdal to the Mastbos. The Markdal is located south of Breda and runs to the border with Belgium. This open meadow area is intersected by the Mark (Dintel) river. The Mastbos owes its name to the Scots pines that grow there. The old cultural forest is a wonderful place for cycling. Then you drive into Breda where you can view the Grote Kerk, Breda Castle and the Beguinage.
