Description

You will soon enter the extensive Boswachterij Dorst. It consists mainly of Scots pine trees that were planted in the early 19th century. Halfway through the 19th century, many trees were cut down, which created many sand drifts. Via the Ulvenhoutse forest you cycle through the Markdal to the Mastbos. The Markdal is located south of Breda and runs to the border with Belgium. This open meadow area is intersected by the river Mark (Dintel). The Mastbos owes its name to the Scots pines that grow there. The old cultural forest is a wonderful place to cycle. Then you cycle into Breda where you can visit the Grote Kerk, Breda Castle and the Begijnhof.
