Planks Wambuis and the Edese and Ginkelse Heide

Mossel is an agricultural enclave in the middle of Planken Wambuis. From here you can drive straight into the vast nature. Forests, heathlands, views over meadows: it doesn't take long before you notice how easy it is to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life here. You drive through Wolfheze and Heelsum, after which you drive into the woods again. And then suddenly the vast Ginkelse Heide stretches out in front of you. You pass an Airborne Monument. The area is intersected by a provincial road and is then called the Edese Heide. On both fields you will pass a sheepfold. With a bit of luck, the herd will graze near the cycle path, so you can see it up close. You cycle through the Roekelse Bos, it is refreshingly quiet here. The route ends at Boerderij Mossel, a tearoom and group accommodation. Stop off at Bloem Ede for a snack, drink or ice cream.
