Tour of Hoorn, Wognum and Oosthuizen

The starting point of this cycle route is Zorgcafe t Koetje in Obdam. The route leads along the coast of the IJsselmeer and you will treat yourself to a beautiful view over the water. As soon as you delve into the country behind it, you will also enjoy the views over the vast polders. Be surprised by the Dutch landscape! Hoorn has a rich history and has developed from a small town to a mature city with the largest port on the Zuiderzee. Hoorn is still a vibrant city with a historic harbor just a stone's throw from the lively center. Another nice place you visit is Wognum. Archaeological finds, based on hand axes and arrowheads, show that Wognum was already inhabited in the Bronze Age.
